Zipcar is a for-profit, membership-based car-sharing company providing car rental to its members, billable by the hour or day.

You're able to view vehicle availability and reserve a self-service car via the internet or by phone, in increments as short as 1 hr; 180 miles are included with each reservation; each vehicle has a reserved parking spot whic is its home location.

Members get a zipcard which opens the vehicle during their reservation time; Each reservation includes driver's insurance, a gas card for the car, XM satellite radio and reimbursements for car washes and wiper fluid refills. Members can reserve Zipcars in any city in which they're located.
